Each Thursday beginning at 9:00a.m. we welcome you to join a great bunch of people who enjoy the morning carving many different items. Some of our current wood carvers are beginners while others are more advanced. Jerry Hill and his wife Anna are here to help you. They will answer any questions you have and give you direction. We invite you to stop by any Thursday morning and see if wood carving is something that you might be interested in.
What I teach is not a bunch of seemingly impossible poses you see in magazines and TV. I teach a gentle slow Yoga, therapeutic rather than for fitness at Allen Eiry. We are in chairs, standing and going to the floor is optional. Several students remain in chairs with modifications from the floor poses. This Yoga is ideal for inactive seniors or if you suffer from illness, injury, obesity, limited mobility or more. It moves the joints and body increasing body awareness, circulation, digestion, respiration, strength, flexibility, stress management, coordination, balance and more. It does not require any special equipment or clothing. What it does require is your will to have a healthier, stress-free self. Everyone is made comfortable in my class no matter their level of flexibility or inflexibility. And we also have fun. I look forward to seeing and helping you enjoy the benefits of Yoga.
