Socki – Card Game @ Allen Eiry Center
Apr 30 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

“SOCKI”—CARD GAME
The story of SOCKI …
The rules of SOCKI were taught to Tad by his mother, a ship wrecked Victorian lady. He was born shortly after she was the sole survivor of the misfortunate occurrence. They lived happily on a warm Pacific island. He and his mother often played SOCKI together and with the natives to pass the time during stormy nights. On his eighth birthday Tad’s mother gave him a set of cards for his very own which she had handed drawn and painted. He kept them in a sock which he had found washed up on the beach in a trunk full of clothes presumably from the wreck. From that day on the game was named SOCKI.

This game is a blast and might take 30 minutes to catch on. Join us each Tuesday at 1:00PM for a good time!

Jewelry Re-Imagined Class @ Allen Eiry Center
May 1 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

JEWELRY RE-IMAGINED CLASS

First Wednesday of each month at 10:00am.

Several members of our present bead class have requested an opportunity to bring in costume jewelry that needs re-working, re-designed or just resized. Sometimes there’s a favorite piece that needs to be modernized or just restored. Maybe a clasp has broken or a necklace could become a bracelet or another piece would make new earrings. The possibilities are endless to bring new life to an old piece, so we’ve added another class on the first Wednesday of each month. Bring in your own pieces to work on. All the tools and findings, along with additional beads, will be available for you to use. Karen Knaur will be on hand to offer advice. Cost will be $2.00 per session.  Registration is required.
